Bambuddha Lounge
It was a full Saturday for grocery shopping with Kwan. In the evening, I fetched Kwan again and we headed to Castro Street in Mountain View where we would rendezvous with Wei Foong (WF), Shae Hui (SH) and Hilarree for dinner at Tofu House, a Korean restaurant. The food was okay... not very spectacular as I believe I've tried better ones.
The highlight of the evening however was a trip to San Francisco that night! It was already 9pm, and WF, SH and me headed to SF to meet up with Hans and company for some lounge experience (at least for me... as I've never been to a lounge before).
It was bittersweet memories for me as we drove into SF as it was the first time after 10 years since I've been to San Francisco~! Didn't get to see much as it was already at night, but you could at least see some of the buildings nicely lit up and the very gradient roads.
The lounge we went to is called Bambuddha Lounge. $20 BLOODY BUCKS COVER CHARGE!!!! and it doesn't come with any drinks!!! Each drink is $10 too! and they suck!
Well, my first impression of Bambuddha was very mediocre. The inside was very chic and packed with matured (if that's the correct word) guests... unlike some of the Ah-Beng clubs you get in KL. As the night drew later, the songs started to change to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern songs (remixed of course)!!! Not surprising that there were many modern middle eastern guests over there having a good time.
We left at around 12.30am for some mamak, SF style! We went to S & E cafe on 19th Avenue. Not a bad place to eat. A bit overpriced but the food is good. Headed home at around 1.30am.
Now I just need to be super thrifty and get a job quick before my account balance reduces to two digits!!!
