CNY Revisited

This is old news but since I don’t have my internet connection, I’m writing this from the archives of my picture folder.




The Malaysian student association at Purdue University (PUMSA) held a double celebration in conjunction with the Hari Raya Haji and Chinese New Year celebration. It was held at the international center even though the event took place 2 weeks overdue from the actual celebrations. There were lots of Malaysian food and I got to say it was impressive that these students can prepare these with so little time and so many more important things (like projects) to do.



After the gathering/party, we headed to Willowbrook apartments where someone was having an after party. There was the usual out-of-tune karaoke, overflowing drinks and too much dancing for an enginerd. I was "initiated" that time too! A few new comers (I'm a senior yet I'm a party newcomer, wtf!) had to race chugging down a can of beer after piercing it with a fork. Last one has a penalty. I finished second. Felt weird, but even weirder after a few minutes as the rush of alcohol was making my head pulsate hard. However, it was awesome fun and looked forward for more! I guess I have to compensate for all the lost opportunities in college life in my last semester, right?
